About Us

Our Story (Our Mom's Perspective)

As a hockey family, we saw firsthand how expensive youth sports have become — and how outdated most fundraising options still are. We believed there had to be a better option.  So we built one.

Drip Bench combines bold, sport-inspired apparel with a modern fundraising model designed to help teams, players, and families offset the rising costs of competitive sports while building team identity and community along the way.

Not too long ago, I was invited to attend an informational session for Tier 1 hockey. At the time, I honestly didn’t know much about the jump from AA to AAA (Tier 1), so I walked in with a completely open mind.

The biggest thing that stood out to me in that session was the cost.  As I sat there doing the math in my head, I realized that this was outside the realm of a possibility for a hockey player with a school counselor for a mom and and firefighter for a dad!  My mind was blown.  Were families actually considering this? How does this seem like such a mainstream next step in competitive hockey?

My husband and I are both originally from Wisconsin, where hockey was competitive but still felt accessible. My husband even played junior hockey after high school. Needless to say, we were not fully prepared for the cost of competitive youth sports in Colorado.

The school counselor in me continues to struggle with the growing lack of access in youth sports, especially youth hockey. I believe kids should have the opportunity to play competitively at the level they’ve earned through hard work and dedication. The reality is that competitive level hockey has become financially overwhelming for many families.

For several years we were participating in team fundraisers that honestly felt… pretty lame. The products weren’t exciting, nobody really wanted to buy them, and the money raised didn't even make a dent in team fees and season costs.

Drip Bench is a brand built by a real sports family that understands the financial reality of competitive athletics — while also believing sports fundraising should still be fun, community-driven, and full of personality and excitement without feeling forced.

We create gear athletes actually WANT to wear. We also built a fundraising model that feels exciting instead of exhausting or embarrassing. Our apparel and accessories build team identity, confidence, and community while helping families offset the enormous costs that come with youth sports today.  When you shop Drip Bench, you are already supporting young athletes and a family owned business.  When you start or shop from a fundraiser page, you are supporting even more young athletes and helping teams build strong bonds in the process.  There is tremendous power in showing up to team events, the rink, and tournaments unified as a team in matching DRIP gear!

At the end of the day, this brand is about more than clothing. It’s about helping families stay in the game a little longer, making memories together, and bringing some fun back into youth sports along the way. I’m energized and excited to partner with athletes, families, and teams across the country, and I can’t wait to continue building something special together.

We believe sports should still feel fun, community-driven, and accessible. And we believe our apparel can bring people together both on and off the field, rink, or court.  Most importantly we know when you look good, you feel good.  And when you feel good, you play good!

Look Good.  Feel Good. Play Good.

Sincerely,

Stacey - Owner/Founder
